Flood caused huge devastation and killed 37 lives

 

Floods left thousands of people homeless and killed several across NWFP Pakistan

The death toll in Pakistans flood-hit North West Frontier Province (NWFP) has risen to 37 and the number of missing has gone beyond 50 in Peshawar and adjoining areas.According to our media department in Peshawar and adjacent areas majority of houses were demolished, crops were destroyed, roads and infrastructure is badly damaged.Livelihood, health facilities and educational institutions were devastated and poor people are still traumatized.

One of the victim Rooh ul Ameen from village Maskeenabad Mullahzai told our team miserably, “Our houses were demolished the first day of flood, we lost everything.”
Gulzada sobbingly said, “We are homeless now, our crops were squashed and we have nothing to eat.”
Children is in shock and the daily life routine is deficiently disturbed.



 

Muslim Aid responded quickly to this flash flood and providing relief on ground in heavily suffered area UC Shahi Bala, Regi and UC Daagh close to Peshawar. Muslim Aid supplied tents, blankets, slippers for the flood affected victims. Muslim Aid is the first organization who completed its assessment and circulates the report on GCM Pakistan.
