Message from
Country Director
In the name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
As we close another impactful year, This is not only a reflection of our achievements, but also a
testament to the unwavering resilience of the communities we serve, the tireless efforts of our staff and partners,
and the generosity of our donors who continue to support our mission with trust and compassion.
The year 2024 was denied by immense challenges, particularly the aftermath of devastating foods and the
ongoing socio-economic pressures across the country. In response, Muslim Aid Pakistan stood firmly by the side
of those most affected—delivering emergency assistance, restoring livelihoods, and ensuring continuity of
essential services in education, health, WASH, and shelter and alleviated sufferings of 238,957 individuals in need-
Alhamdulillah.
A key strategic focus this year was on strengthening Disaster Risk Management (DRM), shifting from reactive
responses to proactive preparedness and resilience building. Through training, planning, and empowering local
duty bearers and communities, we have laid the groundwork for reducing disaster impacts and safeguarding
lives and livelihoods.
One of the most inspiring milestones of 2024 has been the continued expansion of our Smart Housing
Programme. These climate-smart, disaster-resilient homes are transforming the lives of some of the most
vulnerable families—many of whom never imagined they would live in denied, durable structures designed to
withstand future shocks. This initiative goes beyond shelter; it is restoring a sense of security, ownership, and
hope for a better future. The appreciation and prayers of beneficiaries remind us that sustainable,
people-centered solutions can indeed create lasting change.
In parallel, our work in WASH reached new milestones. We expanded access to safe and clean drinking water,
promoted good hygiene practices, and supported behavior change in schools and communities—thereby
curtailing the spread of waterborne diseases, a leading cause of child mortality. This progress reflects our belief
that long-term wellbeing is inseparable from dignity and health.
Throughout the year, we remained guided by our core values—Dignity (Karamah), Justice (Adl), Excellence
(Ihsan), Compassion (Rahma), and Service (Khidmah)—ensuring that every intervention upholds the rights and
worth of each individual we serve.
I am deeply grateful to our donors, whose contributions have enabled us to reach millions of lives with
meaningful impact. I also extend heartfelt appreciation to our field teams, technical experts, implementing
partners, and government stakeholders for their steadfast collaboration and dedication.
As we move into 2025, we carry forward the lessons, strength, and vision from this year. We remain committed to
localized, inclusive, and sustainable programming that empowers communities and builds a more just,
compassionate, and resilient Pakistan—one life at a time.
With sincere thanks and prayers
